Vacation & Tennis?
Makes Perfect Sense!

What happens when 84 competitive women come together to compete in an exciting tennis tournament while enjoying a vacation getaway? Besides great tennis, there is poolside and beach relaxation -- a comfortable villa with your teammates --and a brief pause from the hectic daily activities at home!  These ladies come to playTENNIS!  The matches are exciting with many players and outsiders watching from the sidelines while others continue to check the Wynne Tournament Scoreboard and scout out their next opponents...all in good fun!

Wow! Vacation & Tennis - I Love This Concept!

Players checked into Wynne Tournaments on Thursday afternoon and received the welcome package, which included the tournament draw sheet.  A Wilson W-Line demo clinic and practice took place that evening.  At 8:30 am the following day, court assignments and ball distribution took place, the ladies were very anxious to play.  Many arrived 30 minutes prior to their match to practice.  Four rounds of matches were had by all over the two days.  There were many tie-breakers, close matches, the un-ending point, the look of excitement, the Wynneing shot!  Our traveling pro offered a late afternoon clinic, some attended while others lounged poolside and met with friends over a light appetizer and a cool beverage.  The top three teams from each level (3.0, 3.5, and 4.0) participated in the finals.

The tennis was competitive and some matches came down to double tie-breakers.  All finalists and winners were awarded trophies and prizes and their teams were photographed by our “staff” photographer.  As the weekend concluded, new friends said their goodbyes and promised to see each other again at an upcoming Wynne Tournament.  It was a weekend that will be cherished and remembered forever!

This is a Blast - Friends and the Game of Fun!

Wynneing Tournaments!

Do you think these ladies had any fun?  As you look at each of these players you see the excitement, the enjoyment, the laughter.  Sure, everyone wanted to win.  They executed at their best.  A shot was missed, a double fault occurred, but most importantly, friends came together, played against other people outside the normal club or local environment, and played competitive tennis.  Did anyone have to qualify to enter the Wynne Tournament, No!  The game of tennis is for life!  Thank you ladies, it was our pleasure. Travel safe, see you next year or even, for some of you, next month!
